How to Share a Video With a Link

Use Save Replay when the video is on your device but the recipient needs a simple page they can open, play, pause, and seek in a browser.

A practical framework

Work through the decision in four steps

  1. 1

    Choose the source

Drop an MP4, MOV, M4V, or WebM file into the uploader. The first preview stays local to your browser.

  2. 2

    Select the useful range

Move the start and end points, then preview the selection. Only the prepared selection is uploaded.

  3. 3

    Copy the watch link

Save Replay creates the stable share URL when upload starts. The same page moves from processing to ready.

  4. 4

    Send it

A public or unlisted link opens without a viewer account. Choose a restricted visibility when the audience should be limited.

Choose visibility before you share

Public clips can be opened and forwarded by anyone with the URL and may be eligible for search only when they also have complete owner-supplied metadata. Unlisted clips remain directly shareable but are excluded from search indexing.

Private clips require the verified owner. Password-protected clips require the password. A share link is convenient, but it is not a substitute for reviewing the clip for secrets, personal information, or content outside the intended range.

Put the workflow into practice

Choose the moment before you upload it

Preview locally, select the useful range, and create one browser-ready link without an account for the basic flow.
